Black and White Photography

Moon Photography

I love trying to capture clear shots of the moon......but up until this attempt, I've been fairly unsuccessful. I read on-line where a guy used his Canon 300 mm f2.8 plus the 2x teleconverter.....so I tried the same. With this set up you actually get so close that the shutter speed needs to be cranked up to 800 or so...otherwise the picture is all washed out. This helps a great deal in reducing vibration as well....even on a tripod.
